Connect your station to Neverin
Add your station through your profile, in just a few minutes of work.
Free. You get the sending key at once; we approve the station as soon as we can after the first data.
Three steps
An account
Create a Neverin account and verify your e-mail address. The profile has a My stations section.
Add the station
The name, a point on the map, the elevation and your device. You get the sending key and the settings at once.
Connect the station
Enter the settings in your station's app or software. In your profile, check within two minutes whether the data arrive. After the first data we review the station and publish it as soon as we can.
Which stations can I connect?
Almost every model of the Ecowitt family, Bresser and Davis, and any station already sent by Meteobridge, Cumulus MX, WeeWX or Weather Display.
Ecowitt family
Froggit, GoGEN, Misol, Waldbeck, Garni, Sainlogic, Fine Offset and Ambient Weather: the same devices under other names, with a Wi-Fi gateway or console.
Sends by itself: a Customized server in the Ecowitt, WS View Plus or awnet app, the Ecowitt protocol with every sensor.
Bresser
Models with a Wi-Fi console run by the ClearView or WSLink app.
Sends by itself: 'Other server' in the app, the WUnderground API format.
Davis
Vantage Vue and Vantage Pro2 with WeatherLink Live, the WeatherLink console or another WeatherLink uploader.
Through the WeatherLink network: you share the station with Neverin, the instructions are in the profile.
Have another station? If one of these programs already runs it, it sends to Neverin too.
For station owners
The station stays yours, and its data work for you and for everyone watching the weather in your area.
All free, for good.
The ws.neverin.hr protocol
For station makers and software authors: what our server accepts. The technical reference is in English.
Host
ws.neverin.hr, plain HTTP on port 80 (HTTPS on 443 for software that has it). The station is identified by its key alone, 10 lower-case hexadecimal characters; the Station ID is accepted and ignored. A sample is written once per 10 seconds at most per station; the usual device interval is 16 to 60 seconds, a program's 1 to 5 minutes.
Three ways to send
- Neverin names: GET or POST to
/update/v1/<key>, or to any path with the key as the parameterkey; a POST as a form or as a JSON object of one level; metric units, the names below. - The Weather Underground protocol: the GET your firmware already sends to Wunderground, with
IDandPASSWORD=<key>, to any path (an Ecowitt's Customized screen: protocol Wunderground, Path/?). - The Ecowitt protocol: the POST form your firmware sends to ecowitt.net, with every sensor (both pressures, the piezo rain gauge, the extra probes, the batteries), to
/update/v1/<key>, or to/data/report/with the key as the fieldkeyorPASSWORD. Imperial fields are converted; the rebranded models' metric spellings (tempc, baromrelhpa, windspeedkmh, dailyrainmm) are read too.
GET http://ws.neverin.hr/update/v1/<key>?temp=14.2&rh=81&baro_rel=1016.4&wspeed=2.5&wdir=230&precip_day=3.4
POST http://ws.neverin.hr/update/v1/<key> {"temp": 14.2, "rh": 81, "time": "2026-11-07T12:00:00Z"}
GET http://ws.neverin.hr/weatherstation/updateweatherstation.php?ID=<station id>&PASSWORD=<key>&tempf=57.6&humidity=81&baromin=30.01&dailyrainin=0.13
POST http://ws.neverin.hr/data/report/ PASSKEY=...&key=<key>&tempf=57.6&humidity=81&baromrelin=30.01&baromabsin=29.63&yrain_piezo=12.3 ...Parameters of the Neverin names
Required: the key and at least one measurement. Everything else is optional. A parameter the receiver does not know is kept beside the sample and shown to the owner, so a new sensor needs no change on your side.
| Parameter | Unit | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
temp | °C | air temperature |
rh | % | relative humidity |
baro_rel | hPa | sea-level (relative) pressure |
baro_abs | hPa | station (absolute) pressure; the relative is computed from it where both come |
wspeed | m/s | instant wind speed; the slot's mean and gust are made from it where none come |
wavg | m/s | mean wind speed |
wgust | m/s | wind gust |
wdir | ° | wind direction, 0 to 360 |
precip | mm | rain since the previous sample |
precip_total, precip_year, precip_month, precip_day | mm | a rain counter instead: the first kind present wins; resets are handled |
uv | UV index | |
solar | W/m² | solar radiation |
sea_temp | °C | sea temperature |
snow_depth | cm | snow depth |
pm1, pm2p5, pm10 | µg/m³ | particulate matter |
soil_temp_1 to soil_temp_6 | °C | soil temperatures by sensor |
soil_vwc_1 to soil_vwc_4 | % | soil volumetric water content by sensor |
leaf_wet_1, leaf_wet_2 | leaf wetness by sensor | |
time | UTC | the sample's time, ISO 8601 or Unix seconds; without it, the arrival |
Time
A sample is timed at its arrival unless it carries time (UTC, ISO 8601 such as 2026-11-07T12:00:00Z, or Unix seconds), which is honoured within 5 minutes ahead of the arrival and 3 hours behind it. The Weather Underground protocol's dateutc is read only for stations whose software clock we have checked; send every 16 to 60 seconds and the arrival is as good.
Answers
JSON. 200 with "stored": true and the fields read; 200 with "stored": false within 10 seconds of the last sample; 400 NO_VALUES when nothing is a known measurement; 401 STATION_KEY_MISSING or STATION_KEY_INVALID; 403 STATION_DISABLED or STATION_REJECTED. Devices need only the status.
How a station gets its key
The owner adds the station in their Neverin profile under My stations and gets the key and the Station ID at once, with the exact settings for the device; the data flow from the first minute, and we approve the station as soon as we can after the first data arrive. A built-in "Neverin" entry in your firmware or software needs two fields, Station ID and Key, and either of the shapes above.
